Where do you want to fly?

The Green New Deal:

“Great news for all you citizens out there who are unwilling to work. The Green New Deal progressives have just proposed a state-dispensed, unconditional cash stipend for all of you. You need to form a nonlabor union to ensure that this long overdue entitlement is tax-free and includes periodic cost-of-living increases. Unfortunately, I’ve just received word that the Greenies have canceled this utopian program. Sad.”

Hagerstown

Build the wall:

“At the southern border, I will go pass out papers to apply the legal way. Let Pelosi and Schumer pass out hot air. Build the wall. Keep America great. Vote.”

— Joe Saunders,

Hagerstown

Higher power other than God:

“The man who speaks of our president needing a higher power other than God should ask God to forgive his blasphemy. Alcoholics Anonymous centers think of its 12 steps on a higher power. Satan is a power, not a higher one. Perhaps education can temper the flames of prejudice and tolerance, and may God have mercy on this soul.”

— Harold Edward Wills,

Hagerstown

No news about police sirens:

“I’m reading Thursday’s paper for the police calls. There were at least seven police cruisers, with red lights and sirens, going out Franklin Street on Tuesday a little after 4 o’clock when they passed the 500 block. Yet, there’s nothing on the news, nothing in the newspaper. Is the police department running calls that they don’t want anyone to know about? Or, are the guys just running red lights and sirens just to get somewhere and there is nothing going on? I’d like to know why the local news media here has nothing whenever this goes on. And, this is not the first time in the West End where police cruisers go flying by with red lights and sirens and there’s nothing in the police calls or anything.”

Trump in Vietnam:

“So, Trump is finally going to Vietnam after 50 years. Perhaps, he should stay in the Hanoi Hilton, so he can respect John McCain’s service and heroes that were captured.”

— Alan Phillips,

Hagerstown

Robins of spring:

“I haven’t seen a robin; but, I’ve heard them. So, they are near.”

— Kevin Spielman,

Hagerstown

Thanks for clearing snow:

“This is a shout out to the gentlemen who cleared my property of snow. It was so appreciated.”
