 AccessibilityWhen we speak of accessibility at the Hagerstown Regional Airport (HGR), we are not simply referring to the Handicap Accessibility in compliance with ADA regulations - we're referring to easy accessibility for EVERYONE. Our double automatic doors open wide so that everyone has easy, hassle-free access from the time you drive up to the front door to the time your plane departs. And you'll enjoy the same hassle-free environment when you return. There are, of course, special provisions for those who need additional assistance. From automatic doors to a passenger boarding lift onto the airplane, the airport staff will try to make your experience as pleasant as possible. When you arrive, simply let the person at USAirways' counter know your specific needs, and every effort will be made to make sure everything goes smoothly. If you are flying into Hagerstown, your on-board flight attendant will make the necessary arrangements. Statement of Accessibility In accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Washington County Government's programs and services are open to and usable by all persons. Hagerstown Regional Airport's terminal building was constructed to standards addressed in the Accessibility Guidelines of the ACT (ADAAG). A passenger boarding lift was added to the services provided by HGR in October, 1999. |
